The end of the valley near Hüttschlag, which belongs to the Hohe Tauern National Park is only 15 minutes away from our Hotel Edelweiss – Salzburg Mountain Resort. Experience the impressive variety of flora and fauna in the natural surroundings.
The Grossarltal has been part of the Hohe Tauern National Park since 1991.
Enjoy the beautiful scenery with waterfalls, gorges, high mountains and the simple, pensive silence and peace in the traffic-free head of the valley. Nature trails lead you through the unspoiled countryside, e.g. to the Haussteingut, one of the oldest farmhouses in the Grossarltal, with parts of the building dating back to around 1650.
